Three parts Brooklyn, two parts Rockaway, the boys of Sons of Jove are all about doing what they know best, rockin! A unique culmination of Old School meets New School, held together with a hint of reggae flavor. This 5 man mob draws inspiration from an eclectic mix of musicians and styles, always staying true to their local roots. Zach (drums), Robby (guitar) and Larry (bass) began their musical journey while in junior high jamming in Zach’s basement and anywhere else a willing ear would listen. Their musical marriage was brief and the trio would eventually go on a decade long hiatus. Fate had a different plan for these future rockers as they reemerged in 2010 with the addition of Vinny (guitar) and Dylan (vocals). Now together for almost 2 years, Sons Of Jove is all about having a good time, playing awesome music and spreadin joy, Brooklyn style. With the recent release of their debut EP "Conceptions" (EP release party held at Southpaw), SOJ is tearing up the NYC underground scene and coming to a venue near you.
